Questions & Answers
Six things you need to know about Physical Therapy. |
|
1) Can I choose where I want to go for physical therapy?
Absolutely! According to Medicare guidelines you always have a choice
of where you would like to receive your physical therapy services,
regardless of which doctor prescribed the therapy.
If you don't have a prescription we can send a request to your
primary care physician for you. |
|
 |
2) Will my doctor be mad if I don't go to his or her physical
therapy clinic?
Any reputable physician would be comfortable with your choice.
According to Medicare guidelines and the Arizona Physical Therapy
Practice Act, a physician should disclose any financial interest
with any practice they refer you to and therefore, give you a choice
of therapy providers. |
|

3) Is PRO Therapy owned by a physician?
NO. PRO Therapy is an independent physical therapy office with
no physician or corporate ownership. Patients are referred to
us because we get results and the referring doctor wants the best
for their patients. |

6) Is physical therapy just exercise?
An important part of any successful physical therapy program is
tailoring the program specifically to your needs and goals. We
begin with gentle stretching and mild exercise. As the condition
improves, we will add new elements to your treatment plan. Other
treatment options are hands-on soft tissue work, Aquatic Physical
Therapy, along with various other applications for pain relief
such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation. |
